Were alive update and Happy Thanksgivng!

This month has flown by! I can't believe the holidays are upon us once more and were about to start the countdown to Christmas! I thought time flew by before I started school but it seems to be on fast foward right now. I'm almost done with first semester, I can see the end and also the end of my 8 class work load. Next semester will be a more managable 5 classes. Whew! I don't know if I could maintain the craziness. Josh has gotten alot more serious with boxing, he absoutley loves it and yes, I know, it's crazy, but even after his very physically demanding job he manages to have MORE energy to box for 2 hours after work. It makes him happy and keeps him busy while I'm busy studying after work and on the weekend...and every waking hour i'm not at school or working.... lol. I finally understand what my friends that neglected me while in school were going through. As you can imagine they get a kick out of my lack of "play time" now. Regardless, I never thought I would say this but I am loving this time in my life, I find OT to be already very rewarding and lines up perfectly to who I am and what I believe. I am so grateful this door was opened and I was brave enough to go through with it! It was scary after all I had'nt been in school for 4 years...I guess better late than never though and life was waiting for me! This chapter is exciting and has just opened...I am able to picture a future that is bright and full of possiblities. It's a great feeling. I am Embracing this time in my life for I know that it will be short lived!
On that note, Happy Thanksgiving! We spent it with my parents and brother and sister-in-law eating the most delicious dinner all year. My dad really does it up every year. He is such an amazing talented cook, I did not get that talent, i'm sure once I'm the one doing the cooking I'll be praying my turkey does'nt catch on fire! Josh also got an early Christmas present and probably the best one of his life! He finally got Lasik; well CustomPRK which is the safer but more painful of the two. He is doing great and seeing better than ever! It's only suppose to improve from here. He told me "Babe, this was one thing I always wanted to get done but really never thought I would ever be able to do, I'm so happy I can see!" I am thankful for technology that it is such that my husband can see practically perfectly without the use of glasses. Amazing.
Our plans for the holidays include flying to North Carolina for Christmas, which we are very excited about since we have yet to meet 2 nephews and 1 neice and of course see all of Josh's family that we don't get to see nearly enough!
Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy the season!
